Опис

До цієї родини належать найдовші комахи, що живуть у наш час. Зокрема Phobaeticus chani сягає разом із кінцівками 54 см завдовжки. Phasmatidae, як і більшість їхніх родичів, здатні регенерувати кінцівки та розмножуються партеногенезом.
