Поширення

Рід поширений в Європі, Африці, Азії, Австралії та Океанії.

Опис

Це маленькі і середні бабки. Самці, як правило, дуже яскраво забарвлені, починаючи від повністю червоного у кількох видів і закінчуючи насиченим синім кольором австралійського Crocothemis nigrifrons. Самиці коричневого або помаранчевого забарвлення.
