Поширення
Нині живі види широко поширені по островах у західній частині Індійського океану. Середовище проживання — вічнозелені острівні ліси.
Морфологія
Статура округла. Ці птахи лише трохи більше, ніж горлиця. Мають порівняно довгі крила і хвости.
Поведінка
Це деревні птахи. Споживають ягоди і фрукти.
