Поширення
Домівкою цих жаб є дощові ліси Південної Америки на схід від Анд. Більшість видів мешкають у низинах, але іноді можуть зустрічатися на висоті до 1400 м. Ameerega andina і Ameerega erythromos розповсюдженні на тихоокеанських схилах Анд. Ameerega maculata — єдиний вид, що зустрічається у Панамі (північна межа ареалу роду).
