Сіріус-Пассет
Сіріус-Пассет (дан. Siriuspasset) — найбільше місце знахідок копалин кембрійського періоду на півострові Земля Пірі (північ Гренландії, 804 км від Північного полюса). Місцезнаходження було виявлено в 1984 році А. Хіггінсом, співробітником Геологічної служби Гренландії (дан. Grønlands Geologiske Undersøgelse). Згодом в цей район було здійснено чотири експедиції — в 1989, 1991, 1994 і 2006 роках[1]. Вік відкладень Сіріус-Пассет оцінюють в 518 мільйонів років. Названо на честь санного патруля Сіріус, який патрулює на собачих упряжках північний схід Гренландії.
Фауна Сіріус-Пассет
Нині формальний опис отримали близько 25 викопних видів і приблизно стільки ж видів чекають опису[1][2]. Найбільш масові форми — членистоногі з немінералізованими покривами[2].
