Поширення та середовище існування

Росте у Південно-східній Азії, Індії, Шрі-Ланці та Південному Китаї.

Практичне використання

Вирощується для заправки супів та карі. Аромат кречаю викликає апетит. Використовується у народній медицині. У Таїланді кречай відомий як афродезіак під назвою «тайський женшень».[2]
